How an episode works

The Challenge

The rules are simple. The execution is merciless. Can Jason keep a straight face? (Narrator: he could not.)

01

Jason takes an edible

One son, one edible, and a rapidly approaching sense of regret. The giggles are already loaded before a single joke is told. (This step is the safety meeting. Attendance is mandatory.)

02

Craig deploys the arsenal

Dad jokes. One-liners. Games, skits, and premises nobody asked for. Craig fires them off deadpan, one after another, no mercy rounds.

03

If Jason laughs, Craig wins

That’s the whole game. Jason’s only job is to not laugh — a job he is, historically, not great at. Son laughs (sometimes).

The Official Rules

Ratified by Craig. Appealed by Jason. Appeal denied.

  1. Jason must not laugh. That is the entire rulebook. Everything else is commentary.
  2. A snort counts. A nose exhale counts. Thinking about laughing counts (Craig decides).
  3. Craig may repeat a joke slower. This is legal and, frankly, devastating.
  4. No thinking about the word “moist.”
  5. If Jason leaves the room, the joke follows him. There is no out of bounds.
  6. The edible is not a defense, a strategy, or an excuse. It’s just there. Doing its work.
  7. Craig’s list is final. Craig’s list is also never final. There is always another page.
  8. In the event of a tie, Craig wins. There are no ties. Craig wrote the rules.

The combatants

Meet Craig & Jason

A humor channel with a father and son telling jokes, doing skits, and sometimes podcasting — to hopefully make people laugh.

The Dad · The Offense

Craig

Joke-delivery machine. Deadpan. Relentless.

Craig comes armed with lists — dad jokes, pickup lines, fortune cookie fortunes, bad horror movie pitches, reasons a cult rejected him. He delivers every one like he’s reading the weather, which somehow makes it worse.

  • Writes the jokes, brings the games, sets the traps
  • Specialties: one-liners, holiday dad jokes, Grampa’s Jokes
  • Win condition: one crack in the face. Just one.

The Son · The Defense

Jason

The one trying — and failing — to keep a straight face.

Jason sits down, the edible sits in, and then his own father spends the whole episode trying to break him. His job is to survive the barrage. His record suggests survival is not really on the table.

  • Armed with nothing but willpower and an edible
  • Specialties: the slow crack, the snort, the total collapse
  • Win condition: outlast Craig’s list. Nobody has confirmed this has happened.

The lineup

The Shows

Six ways Craig tries to break Jason — plus the Potcast, where they both just talk until it gets weird.

Grampa’s Jokes

Old-school rounds

Two jokes in one, straight from Grampa’s playbook. The channel’s most-watched series — proof the old material still lands the hardest.

Midday Munchies

Snack science

The munchies, taken seriously. Craig and Jason taste-test their way through snack history — starting with six flavors of Peeps, because of course.

Munchie warning: reading about snacks counts as a snack emergency drill. Know your level — the official Munchie Emergency Levels are posted in Session HQ.

The Games

Chaos rounds

Word games with one rule: say the phrase, keep the face. Featuring the In My Butt Game and the Potcast’s In My Pants Game — dignity not included.

That’s the whole announcement. Cotton mouth is not a personality trait. There’s water in the fridge — Jason checked. Twice. While looking for snacks.
